As the Manager, Technology / Production Support, you will ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of business-as-usual (BAU) operations across critical technology platforms, including Python, Github, Ansible automation, Apache Airflow workflows, and SQL Server. You will be responsible for maintaining seamless system functionality, resolving production issues, and optimizing operational efficiency while ensuring strict adherence to RBC's governance frameworks and regulatory standards. • Database Operations: Support SQL Server data load using Python libraries (e.g., pyodbc, SQLAlchemy, pymssql), optimize queries, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and validate data consistency.

  • Workflow Orchestration: Support and troubleshoot Apache Airflow workflow pipelines for ETL processes and workflow automation, addressing DAG failures and optimizing pipeline performance.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Maintain Jupyter Notebooks for regulatory controls development, validate outputs, and ensure version control through Git integration.

  • Automation & Compliance: Develop Ansible playbooks to enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards and collaborate with audit teams to document controls and remediate findings.

  • Documentation: Update runbooks, process diagrams, and knowledge bases to ensure accurate and accessible documentation for supported systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Python in production environments.

  • 4+ years of experience Jupyter Notebooks and SQL Server with Python libraries (e.g., pyodbc, SQLAlchemy).

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible (playbook development), Apache Airflow (DAG management),

  • Proficiency in SQL, Git, and Linux/Unix systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial controls or regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, OSFI).

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to be equally effective and conversant in both business and technical environments

  • University Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field of study

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by a collaborative and supportive attitude.
