Job Description:

As the End User Compute (EUC) Engineering PGTL, you will lead and develop a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering a secure, reliable, and world-class end-user computing experience across the enterprise. You will own the strategy, engineering roadmap, and operational oversight for desktop/laptop platforms, operating systems, productivity tools, and endpoint management technologies. This role blends strategic planning, hands-on technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to modernize and optimize the employee computing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of engineers to provide top-notch end user experience across the employee computing environment; Includes management of desktop/laptop OS, Hardware, Office Suite, and browsers as well as peripherals

  • Define, engineer, and design Enterprise-wide Windows and macOS based end-user platforms, and their corresponding management policies and infrastructure to meet both user experience and regulatory requirements.

  • Plan and execute roadmap design for OS and hardware platforms

  • Ensure Operational support and control mechanisms for all managed platforms

  • Assess and select product capabilities and features, ensure multiple technologies are not providing overlapping capabilities; driving down technology complexity and cost reductions.

  • Work with Architecture teams to ensure detailed program specifications, resourcing and costs are aligned

  • Work directly with peer teams including Line of Business partners, operations, security and risk teams to prioritize work and agree on solution design.

Skills and Experience You Will Need:

Required:

  • Deep systems internal knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, particularly Windows 11

  • Advanced knowledge of macOS configuration and security using JAMF

  • Experience with scripting tools including Windows PowerShell

  • Full understanding of Windows policy management using group policy and Intune

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) related to Windows Build Automation and task sequence management

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Office 365 and Azure

  • Familiarity with modern remote access VPN and virtual desktop solutions

  • 8-10 years of experience.

  • Experience in Agile delivery preferred

Education:

· BS in computer science or a related field

Customer

  • Work closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet technical direction, requirements, budget, scalability and architectural goals, ensuring all risks and impacts are considered
  • Leverage deep technology expertise to support in the creation and delivery of end-to-end technical solutions and help to support driving business outcomes
  • Participate in business planning discussions and define the technology delivery approach, and leverage synergies across the various teams and applications
  • Act as lead expert to ensure compliance with enterprise and segment standards (e.g. TOM; enterprise assets)
  • Monitor and manage incident escalation process; work with project managers and business partners as needed to efficiently and effectively resolve
  • Identify and implement opportunities to minimize and reduce costs in collaboration with TAO; identify appropriate solutions and support the deployment of innovative product and software solutions
  • Collaborate with partners and project teams on software quality assurance reviews
  • Drive and execute on target state and roadmap-based investments
  • Execute on strategic solution planning activities or POC
  • Work with partners across Technology and apply deep understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas and projects

Shareholder

  • Anticipate internal/external business and regulatory issues; recommends process/product/organizational improvements
  • Manage resource requirements and assignment, ensuring project milestones are met and monitoring to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee business expenses and FTE plans and ensure controls in place to monitor, effectively track and manage to established plans
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of external development, technology and emerging solutions, market conditions and their impact
  • Proactively identify emerging technologies and innovative solutions for building more robust platform domains
  • Interact with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory and operational risk, compliance and audit) to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues / items relating to technology and tools
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for quality engineering best practices and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit; may take on the role of Chapter Lead as applicable

  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
  • Keep others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
  • Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging quality engineering best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and leadership to proactively identify and resolve issues related to product quality
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships.
  • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

  • Lead Technical solutions at the Product Group level
  • Deep expertise and knowledge of specific domain or broad range of experience in technology domains, including understanding of in-house and third-party architecture integration
  • Advanced and highly specialized knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business / organization, Bank standards, regulatory and compliance standards, and may fulfill a governance role
  • Expert technical skills and a strong understanding of the team's product; technology and issues
  • Provides leadership and guidance to several teams across the enterprise and solves cross-department issues
  • Participates in the development of business strategies
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives
  • Utilize subject matter expertise to introduce new technologies, or new versions of existing technologies, into the organization
  • Generally, reports to an executive
