What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Loyalty Product Analytics will play a key role in the RBC Avion Rewards Loyalty strategy and day-to-day program. This role will be responsible for providing ongoing RBC Rewards performance management, data analytics and insights, as well as business and competitive intelligence – to support the Rewards strategy, roadmap, and execution. This position will enable personalization capabilities through the development of data-driven products, to attract and engage Rewards members. This position will leverage diverse data to enable deep dive analytics and modelling, in order to generate deeper understanding of client, product, performance, and competitive dynamics.

What will you do?

  • Conduct analytical deep dives to derive actionable and valuable insights for the business to enable more informed decision-making – leading to our achievement of key objectives including enhanced client experience, deeper member engagement, business growth, and acquisition.

  • Develop models and tools to enable sensitivity and propensity analytics from various dimensions – including member, program engagement, and competitive landscape.

  • Design, build & automate business intelligence (BI) solutions which meet a high standard of quality, accuracy, efficiency and resiliency, to facilitate day-to-day oversight and monitoring of key performance metrics and portfolio segments.

  • Provide management and maintenance of the Rewards Breakage Models, to enable and support the critical financial governance of the RBC Rewards Program.

  • Enable personalization capabilities through the development and maintenance of data-driven products, such as segmentation and/or propensity models, to attract and engage Avion Rewards members.

  • Facilitate the integration of personalization products into the Loyalty data infrastructure, while collaborating with the Loyalty business leads to ensure alignment, applicability, and usability of personalization products to the Loyalty strategy.

  • Lead / support data work streams for Loyalty Transformation programs.

  • Support the effort to assess and/or migrate any new data management systems and processes to enhance the data infrastructure and resiliency.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 5+ years related work experience dealing with financial products and large, complex datasets.

  • Inquisitive and critical thinker with strong business acumen, and the ability to apply superior data knowledge & data discovery skills into building effective analysis and insights.

  • Strong data engineering and data management experience working with diverse data sources and formats.

  • Proven ability to design, develop and deliver best-in-class BI dashboards, performance reporting, and analytical solutions, using visualization applications such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • High proficiency with statistical and data mining tools such as Python and SQL, to mine and analyze large amounts of data.

  • Excellent collaboration skills to build strong working partnerships with data/analytics COEs, business partners, and stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the Enterprise Data Lake and Snowflake.

  • Experience or strong knowledge of data science methodologies and practices.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to use data to influence decision-making.

  • Experience with report automation, and data infrastructure integration and optimization.
