Service New Brunswick (SNB) is seeking a talented individual to join the Enterprise Solution Services Branch as a Senior Systems Development Analyst, specialising in Azure Cloud Integration Services. Technology is at the heart of government services delivered to the citizens of New Brunswick. Our team implements and supports the technologies that power Health Care, Education, Justice, Environment, Economic Development, Social Services, Transportation, Agriculture, and many other sectors. You are passionate about cloud integration and have deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services. You thrive on designing and implementing cloud-native solutions that connect government systems securely and efficiently. You are experienced with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid), and you champion automation and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality integrations. You stay current with Azure advancements and are committed to continuous learning and innovation. You communicate effectively, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate technical concepts into clear business solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Systems Development Analyst, you will participate in all phases of the integration solution lifecycle, with a primary focus on developing and maintaining cloud-based integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native integration solutions using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid).
  • Leading the migration of legacy integrations to Azure cloud platforms.
  • Building and managing integration solutions to enable secure and efficient communication between internal and external systems, including clinical healthcare systems (HL7, FHIR).
  • Championing best practices for cloud security, governance, and automation in Azure environments.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders (Business Teams, Project Managers, Application Support Teams, DBAs, vendors, and other development teams) to ensure successful solution implementation.
  • Managing integration deployments using Azure DevOps to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of solutions.
  • Monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting integration workflows and environments to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Applying security and governance best practices for authentication, authorisation, and compliance within Azure integrations.
  • Staying current with Azure updates and emerging technologies to continuously improve integration strategies.
  • Completing all assigned development and maintenance tasks (service requests, releases, incidents, problems, etc.).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

A relevant university degree and a minimum of five (5) years of development experience OR a two (2) year college diploma in a related discipline and a minimum of Seven (7) years of progressive IT industry experience including (5) years of development experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Spoken proficiency in English at the Intermediate Plus (2 plus) level is required.

Written proficiency in English at the Intermediate (2) level is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Microsoft Azure services including Azure Integration Services such as Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
  • Microsoft programming languages such C#, .NET; XML and XSLT
  • SQL Server Queries, SOA, SOAP protocol, RESTful API and WCF programming
  • Experience with large software systems consisting of web interfaces, batch processes, time-based transactions, long-running transactions and multiple integration points;
  • Cloud based integration technologies
  • HL7 and FHIR standards
  • Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate)

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some weekday evening and weekend work hours may be required on occasion and candidates must possess a valid driver's license.

Salary : $66,924- $93,470 annually – Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
