Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically driven Senior Architectural Technologist - Interior Specialist to join our growing team.
This is a senior role requiring 10+ years of experience working specifically on luxury custom single-family residential homes. The ideal candidate is both design-sensitive and technically exceptional, with the ability to produce construction-ready drawing sets, detailed building packages, and coordinate effectively with consultants and internal teams.
YOU MUST HAVE DIRECT EXPERIENCE DELIVERING HIGH-END LUXURY RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Luxury Residential Architectural Documentation
Lead the development of architectural drawing sets for high-end custom homes.
Produce detailed plans, sections, elevations, millwork packages, and interior construction documentation.
Create highly accurate detail drawings that support execution by the building and construction teams.
2. Technical & Construction Expertise
Strong understanding of construction materials, structural systems, and residential building methods.
Ensure all designs are technically sound, buildable, and aligned with project intent.
Apply deep knowledge of building codes, permitting standards, and best practices.
3. MEP & Consultant Coordination
Coordinate closely with MEP consultants to integrate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into architectural documentation.
Layer and manage consultant drawings within AutoCad to ensure complete project coordination.
4. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
Work alongside interior designers, home theatre specialists, and technology consultants to integrate architectural solutions seamlessly into interiors.
Participate actively in team workflows, coordination meetings, and collaborative problem-solving.
5. Quality Control & Project Delivery
Conduct thorough reviews of drawings for accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
Identify and resolve technical discrepancies early to prevent downstream issues during construction.
6. Team Leadership & Mentorship
Support and mentor junior technologists and design staff through training, guidance, and leadership.
Lead by example with strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
10+ years of experience in luxury single-family residential architecture (required).
Expert-level proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of:
Construction detailing
Structural coordination
Building materials and assemblies
High-end residential design standards
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
A proactive mindset - asking questions, solving problems, and taking ownership is a must.
