The role is responsible for achieving sales objectives for individual insurance solutions across the Western Canadian provinces.
The successful candidate will lead business development efforts throughout Western Canada, with a stronger focus on British Columbia. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with MGAs and brokers, with a particular focus on individual life insurance and investment products. The position requires strong product knowledge, a customer‑focused mindset, solid problem‑solving skills, and active contribution to sales and marketing initiatives across the Western provinces.
- Drive Sales Performance : Achieve or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators by managing a high volume of sales calls, meetings, and appointments, while adapting to evolving annual objectives.
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Implement and continuously improve long-term sales development, retention, and growth strategies for the assigned territory and line of business.
- Build and Maintain Strong Distributor Relationships: Maintain, develop, and strengthen relationships with MGAs, advisors, and top producers, providing high-touch support and business development guidance to maximize production.
- Advisor Development and Market Expansion : Identify, profile, develop, and onboard new or low-producing advisors, proactively educating them on individual insurance and investment products to grow sustainable production.
- Market Insight, Reporting, and Brand Promotion : Monitor market trends and competitor positioning, analyze sales performance, prepare and present sales reports, and increase brand awareness through presentations, events, and social media engagement.

- University or college diploma in administration, business, or a related discipline
- Five to seven years of experience in financial services and insurance, including experience selling insurance products (investment product experience considered an asset)
- Strong sales, negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and results‑driven mindset
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with social media platforms for professional or business development purposes considered an asset
- Professional designations such as LLQP, CFP, CLU, or other industry certifications considered an asset
