MST (Atlantic) Shipping Management ULC is currently accepting resumes for the below position working offshore Atlantic Canada. This a contract position for 12 months with a 12-hour workday.
Vessel: Maran Thule
Position: Pumpman - Available 2 positions
Annual Salary: $110,000
Rotation: Approximately four months on/off
Contract: March 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027
Position Summary
The Pumpman participates in all jobs and tasks in connection with safety of own vessel or the other and/or persons and/or environment as directed by the person in charge. He/she must be familiar with all Company procedures, including the Safety Management System, applicable to appointed duties.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency in English required
- 5+ years experience in rank
- Watchkeeping Bridge Endorsement (COC)
- STCW Basic Safety
- STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft
- STCW Basic Oil Tanker Endorsement
- STCW Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties
- Unlimited Medical Health Certificate
- Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Vessel operations
- Personnel Basket Transfer Certificate
- Valid Passport
- Must pass Physical, Drug Screen, Alcohol Screening and Background /Pre-Employment Screening Checks.
Responsibilities:
- Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.
- Report any unsafe acts or failure to comply with regulations and/or company procedures to the Master.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed to provide a safe working environment and minimize the potential for pollution.
- Familiar with various deck piping, fire plan arrangement, location of spares, tools and equipment, firefighting and safety equipment and the proper usages.
- Proficient in all mooring/rigging operations
- Proficient in the maintenance of deck equipment
- Taking part in emergency and occupational onboard training such as, the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, firefighting, and man overboard exercises.
Skills including but not limited to seamanship and deck work experience.
