MST (Atlantic) Shipping Management ULC is currently accepting resumes for the below position working offshore Atlantic Canada. This a contract position for 12 months with a 12-hour workday.

Vessel: Maran Thule
Position: 3rd Officer - Available 2 positions
Annual Salary: $120,000
Rotation: Approximately four months on/off
Contract: March 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027

Position Summary
Third Officer required stand bridge watches, operate, and navigate the vessel safely. Third Officer should have specific knowledge to the maintenance requirements of the bridge equipment.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficiency in English required
  • 1+ years experience in rank
  • Bahamas Flag Watchkeeping Mate (OOW) Endorsement
  • Bahamas Flag Advanced Tanker Safety (Oil) Endorsement
  • Dynamic Positioning Induction Certificate
  • Current Dynamic Positioning - Offshore Loading Certificate
  • Bahamas GOC Endorsement
  • STCW Basic Safety
  • STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft
  • STCW Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties
  • Unlimited Medical Health Certificate
  • Bridge Resource Management Certificate
  • Pusnes BLS 5th generation Operator Course
  • Valid Passport
  • Must pass Physical, Drug Screen, Alcohol Screening and Background /Pre-Employment Screening Checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.
  • Report any unsafe acts or failure to comply with regulations and/or company procedures to the Master.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed to provide a safe working environment and minimize the potential for pollution.
  • Perform watches at sea as advised by the Master, and Port watches according to operational requirements with safe navigation.
  • Checking and maintaining all firefighting and life-saving appliances.
  • Maintaining all flags, navigational shapes, visual signaling equipment, binoculars, and ship's bell, gong, and manual foghorn.
  • Performing cargo watches in port as per instructions from Chief Officer.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for carrying out regular inspections
  • Other duties assigned
  • Demonstrate safety awareness
