The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Process Operator to join our Refinery team in Port Colborne.

The role is a permanent on-site position, working on shifts. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.

As a Process Operator you will be assigned at one of three distinct operating plants on the site, in which you will operate and monitor process conditions to meet product quality specifications and you will work with machinery and equipment as part of a larger operation that processes and packages cobalt, precious metals, and nickel.

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Be committed to Safety.
• Participate fully in the Vale Production System (VPS)
• Be required to work on shifts
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Follow the company' health, safety and environment policies and procedures, and any applicable legislation and regulations.

About You

Education:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial setting.
• Experience working in a chemical plant environment is considered an asset.
• Experience working with packaging equipment, forklifts, inventory, shipping and logistics will also be an asset.

Skills:

• Knowledge on heavy equipment.
• Knowledge on safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge on ISO programs.
