Triware Technologies is looking for an experienced and highly skilled System Administrator to join our team in St. John's, Newfoundland. This in-office, senior level role, will be a leader within our Service team, providing in-depth and project-based support to a broad group of business clients seeking sound advice, consulting, and problem solving.
In this position, you'll take ownership of maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and network infrastructure. You'll diagnose and resolve problems quickly and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, best-in-class IT solutions.

What You'll Do:
- Design, build, configure, and deploy solutions built on Windows or virtual platforms.
- Provide system administration, maintenance, and support for Windows or virtual platforms.
- Provide repair maintenance for server hardware and warranty issues.
- Recommend software and hardware enhancements for security and performance based on best practices.
- Preserve and grow your knowledge of technology, procedures, products, and services.
- Recommend procedure modifications and engage on technical direction.
- Provide courteous friendly support in a professional manner driven by customer satisfaction.
- Daily updates of customer data and produce activity reports.
- Follow up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.
- Work with our sales team members to provide reliable and sound technical solutions.
- Train and provide troubleshooting procedures to helpdesk and field service personnel.
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator or in a similar senior technical role.
- A degree, diploma, or technical certification in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional technical skills, including a good understanding of business software applications, networking technology, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
- Industry and vendor certifications related to Windows or virtual environments, or related topics.
- Demonstrated experience in computer support and network administration.
- Possess a friendly can-do attitude focused on great customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to think critically, make decisions, and use an analytical approach to resolve problems.
- Ability to interact directly with business users at all levels of the organization and provide excellent customer service.
