Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
In this role, you will be a trusted finance advisor to multiple lines of business within Wealth Management Canada (WMC), RBC Dominion Securities Retail, PHN Investment Counsel Office, Royal Trust and other lines of business with WMC. Key responsibilities include supporting financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, as well as on-going decision support and driver-based analysis. You will provide support and analysis for the WMC Finance team.
What Will You Do?
- Support monthly management reports and financial analysis for RBC DS Retail and other lines of business
- Prepare the WMC Monthly Operating deck
- Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of financial models to support strategic financial planning and reporting
- Prepare monthly revenue and expense accruals and reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining appropriate performance management drivers and metrics
- Support ad hoc requests in a timely manner
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must have:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial and management reporting skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- 1-3 years of related corporate finance experience
- Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
- Strong teamwork and cooperation skills
- Attention to detail for consistent and accurate results
- Excellent communication skills, both oral & written, with good interpersonal skills to establish relationships across all levels of the enterprise
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and understanding of banking products and processes, particularly the brokerage and investment industry
- Experience with unique financial systems such as EPM (Cognos TM1) and ADP
