Title: Senior Program Coordinator, Safety and Security

In this role you will:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and services, with a focus on safety and security.
  • Assist with organizing major events, training sessions, and readiness activities for the Security team.
  • Coordinate and track participant requirements, roster updates, and resource allocation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems, including travel management software.
  • Prepare and finalize documentation, reports, and approvals to support program and service delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal teams and external partners.
  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies and safety/security standards.
  • Analyze program and service data to identify trends, support decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in program or service coordination, preferably in safety, security, or emergency management.
  • 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience with travel management software and various third-party travel systems is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to track inputs, manage data, and generate reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and empathy to interpret information, deliver advice, and resolve escalations.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process creation and/or improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is considered a preferred asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based; may require travel to safe locations for major events or emergency operations.
  • Occasional extended hours during peak periods or emergency response.
  • Requires concentration, attentiveness, and adaptability to changing priorities and time-sensitive needs, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • In large-scale emergencies, may provide disaster relief or emergency field operational support.
