Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance Data Strategy this role will shape the data consumption strategy for Finance.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to work in a fast paced and high impact driving considerable change and Competitive Advantage for TD with data.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCustomer
  • Take ownership of understanding financial metrics and the key drivers of Profit & Loss (P&L); analyze and interpret results and clearly articulate insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.

  • Timely completion of data mining, cleansing, and modeling of transactional and financial data from various data sources (i.e., Hyperion, Excel) that ties to/matches GL account/financial Statements.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's finance and technology platforms—including GL, billing, reimbursement, and product systems—and lead the integration of data from these diverse sources to produce financial analytics.

  • Participate in process improvements, data analytics, ad hoc requests, and projects/initiatives to meet business requirements.

  • Lead work streams by acting as a project lead/subject matter expert for small-scale initiatives/projects in accordance with project management methodologies

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify, source, and integrate new data and metrics that enhance financial reporting and analytics. Develop a deep understanding of KPIs that drive financial outcomes, ensuring support decision-making.

Shareholder
  • Develop a deep understanding of the finance data landscape and proactively influence the design and implementation of solutions that address evolving financial analytics

  • Produce, build and improve dashboards with financial and operational KPIs to track and assess business performance.

  • Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders and business management where required

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business partners.

Job Requirements
  • Expert ability to create and design high-quality management presentations for executive audiences, and create visually compelling, and impactful decks that support decision making.

  • Passion for big data and advanced analytics, willingness to analyze complex or disparate data sources and ability to cleanse data.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and systems

  • Must have strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power Point, PowerBI, Hyperion, and Oracle

Technical Skills
  • Coding: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, data extraction)

  • Proficiency with version control – using Github and Visual Studio Code, Databricks

  • Data Visualization: Experience with Power BI and Tableau reporting.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure etc.)

Education & Accreditation
  • University education with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Business and/or accounting designation (MBA/CFA/CPA) would be an asset

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week effective Nov 3, 2025. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
