The Lead Project Management - TG Portfolio will design, implement and run a pragmatic, "right-sized" and effective IT Portfolio Management Framework (PPM) that balances governance with agility (aligning with the TG 'Value-Optimised' operating model). They will be responsible for providingsubject matter expertiseto senior leadership in the development and adoption of the tech portfolio and project management strategies, frameworks, and tools. They provideexpert knowledge and skill, convene stakeholders toassess and mitigate risks, anddevise innovative solutions that ensure project management practices are consistent, business-focused, and future-ready. This includes leading technology implementations, driving change management and learning strategies, and ensuring solutions are sustainable and measurable. The Lead Project Management - TG Portfolio workscross-functionally with senior leadership, establishingshared plans and strategiesand directingenterprise-wide efforts to embed technical project management excellence across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for establishing and driving the adoption of TG portfolio and project management strategies, frameworks, controls and standards that drive consistent, business-focused approaches.
  • Ensure solutions and programs follow Project Management best practices.
  • Lead the TG portfolio and project management technology implementation, enhancements and continuous improvement, enabling the effective delivery of the tech projects and programs as part of the tech portfolio.
  • Conduct regular audits, analyze project data, identify, log and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies to successfully design, deliver and sustain solutions.
  • Drive change management, learning and communication plans to build awareness, support outcomes and user adoption of TG portfolio and project management methodologies, tools and systems.
  • Lead cross-functional sessions and develop relationships to gather requirements, receive feedback, make decisions, transfer knowledge and support adoption
  • Develop business cases, produce reports, and presentations for a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
  • Oversee vendor's performance, prioritise work and delivery as per the set SOW and the TG Delivery standards.
  • Proactively identify, resolve, mitigate and escalate technical risks and impediments - from tactical daily blockers to complex, systemic issues that span multiple teams.
  • Masterfully manage technical and TG resources and other project dependencies and risks across the TG portfolio within and across projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment to prevent delays.

What we are looking for :

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 8-12 years of project and portfolio management experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in the relevant area and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a relevant project management certification (e.g., PMI's PMP and PfMP)
  • Advanced knowledge and technical expertise in Project & Portfolio Management at the enterprise level.
  • Extensive experience coaching and mentoring project management teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience designing and implementing a project and portfolio management practice, tools and methodology
  • Proven track record of establishing a PPM Office (PMO) from scratch or significantly maturing a practice in a complex, federated organization.
  • Ability to leverage data to evaluate needs, design initiatives and derive insights.
  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments and drive organizational change.
  • Communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills to promote complex and sensitive ideas and to facilitate consensus and commitment with strategically important contacts or groups in sensitive, contentious, political, or controversial situations.
  • Deep, practical understanding of IT and SDLC lifecycle, as well as Agile and Lean principles, with the ability to adapt frameworks like Scrum and Kanban to fit the team's context, rather than applying them dogmatically.
  • Proficiency in the M365 suite and project and portfolio management applications.
  • Proven experience in a technical delivery leadership role within large, complex, cross-functional environments, including overseeing third-party IT vendors and managing Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
