The University of Fredericton (UFred) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accreditation Officer to join our Compliance Team on a one-year contract. This role plays a critical part in supporting UFred's commitment to academic quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Assistant Provost, Academic Quality and Strategic Enhancement, the Accreditation Officer leads and coordinates accreditation activities across programs and units, ensuring submissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with external standards.

About the Role
The Accreditation Officer is responsible for planning, managing, and executing accreditation submissions, ongoing compliance reporting, and quality assurance activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, and confidence working across departments with faculty and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Accreditation Coordination
• Lead and coordinate institutional and program-level accreditation and re-accreditation processes.
• Develop and manage accreditation work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure all submissions meet external standards and firm deadlines.
Accreditation Reporting & Documentation
• Draft, compile, and edit accreditation self-studies, compliance reports, interim submissions, and follow-up documentation.
• Collect, organize, and maintain accreditation evidence and supporting materials.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment across narratives and documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
• Work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams to gather required data and documentation.
• Provide guidance on accreditation standards, expectations, and evidence requirements.
• Support preparation for accreditation site visits, virtual reviews, and external evaluations.
Tracking, Records & Reporting
• Monitor ongoing compliance and identify gaps or risks.
• Track accreditation conditions and follow-up actions to ensure completion.
• Maintain organized records to support audits and institutional reporting.
• Prepare status updates and summary reports for senior leadership.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree considered an asset).
• Demonstrated experience coordinating accreditation, quality assurance, or compliance processes in a post-secondary or regulated environment.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position (35 hours per week) under regular business hours. The position is based in Fredericton, NB, with the option to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick and attend in-person meetings as required. The ideal candidate resides in New Brunswick or is willing to relocate.
