What is the opportunity?

As an Operations Associate II – Mail & Distribution, you will be responsible for the daily processing of non-complex clerical activities, including sorting, inserting, and mailing client documents (Trade Confirmations, Month-end Statements, and other ad-hoc Mailing) in a timely manner to provide a positive client experience. In addition, you will handle incoming and outgoing mail and liaise with various Operations departments to research and investigate inquiries or issues. You will work to resolve concerns efficiently, with the aim to provide a seamless operations service experience.

What will you do?

  • Provide accurate processing support for standardize and/or manual processes within Mail & Distribution Department.
  • Assist with opening mail and distribute as per Internal Controls.
  • Support team in all weekly/monthly high volume mailing to meet team benchmarks and service level agreements.
  • Accurately review, verify, and/or record data into technology supporting department processes. Understand department procedures and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works. Refers to department manuals for instructions and task assignments for the specific role.
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other Operation's departments, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participants. Address escalated questions independently; seeking assistance from Manager as appropriate following established department procedures.
  • Reduce risk or increase efficiencies by suggesting process changes and system modifications. Participate in testing and implementation of new systems and processes as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately on exception-based, complex, and/or highly specialized processes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills, as success is dependent on working in co-operation with others
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR High school diploma (or equivalent) AND 2 years of job-related experience.
  • This role is fully in-office, 5 days a week

Nice-to-have

  • Prior banking experience in Operations/Back Office is an asset
  • Process Improvement and innovation.
