Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, Leadership Development is responsible for the development of innovative leadership development solutions and leads the end-to-end creation and execution of long term / multi-year learning strategies and roadmaps based on the enterprise Leadership Development strategy.
This position has accountability of the Leadership Development Design and Facilitation teams to deliver on the design and execution of the development programs. It works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to build and source relevant training. A solid knowledge and execution of performance consulting practices, strategic planning, change management, collaboration, stakeholder management, project management and communication skills are critical to the role.
Job Description (Key Accountabilities):
Lead performance consulting and conduct needs analysis to diagnose gaps and develop effective solutions to address leadership development needs
Consults on either the internal build or external sourcing of both executive and non-executive leadership development programs
Lead a team of Designers and Facilitators, including the ability to inform, review and support their management of portfolio(s) as well monitor and inform individual performance plans, provide coaching and lead career development conversations
Negotiate, influence and build strong relationships with Senior Leaders, subject matter experts and key partners to understand evolving leadership development needs
Provide learning advisory and thought leadership to key stakeholders, including but not limited to new and innovative learning solutions, capabilities and limitations of learning options and modalities and recommended solutions and rollout plans
Provides strategic support to designers on the team to support the internal build of leadership development programs
Inventory and identify learning assets that map to new or existing capabilities to support leadership principles
Collaborate with Business LSAs to ensure alignment to the long-term learning plan and associated roadmaps of the capabilities assigned
Proactively align learning strategies to the capabilities needed to address evolving business needs
Manage issues or escalations in relation to the learning strategy within the portfolio
Develop and leverage relationships with external learning partners on best-in-class leadership development offerings
Identify and implement process improvements that reduce costs or create capacity within learning development and delivery
Provide updates and report on the development of learning assets and materials as well as progress of the overall learning strategy to support leadership development needs
Job Requirements:

10+ years of related experience
Solid understanding in the leadership development and learning field
Ability to work flexibly and coordinate processes and information across related teams independently, as well as part of a team
An analytical mind with orientation to detail for handling initiatives, projects and programs with minimal direction from management
Sound knowledge of using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
A dynamic professional with willingness to take initiative on tasks and projects
Advanced knowledge of multiple HR specialties, HR strategy development, HR policy, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry practices, regulations, standards, tools and methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret policies and apply standards to complete assignments in a fast-changing environment
Additional Information:
Ability to perform a detailed needs assessment at the organizational, team and project level
Ability to scan the market and provide best-practice research and insights on a broad range of topics
Understand performance consulting methodologies and adult learning best practices
Enjoy working on complex issues and generating business-oriented, creative solutions
Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining accuracy through attention to detail
Ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations based on research and analysis
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including executives, program support, external partners, and vendor.
Education:
Undergraduate degree
Graduate degree or Certification in area of specialization is an asset
