Civil Drafting Technologist

GEMTEC is a growing consulting engineering firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Civil Drafting Technologist to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a fulltime Civil Drafting Technologist in our Fredericton NB, Moncton NB, or Halifax NS office.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

The Successful candidate will have the following:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drafting and design.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering plans.
• Familiarity with survey data and LiDAR processing.
• Experience with GIS is an asset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

• Prepare site plans using survey and LiDAR data.
• Develop design drawings for dams and other civil infrastructure.
• Perform quantity calculations for construction materials and earthworks.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to company drafting standards.
• Field duties as required, including surveying and inspection work
• Other duties as required.

Position:

• Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
