Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology, the candidate will lead a team of subject matter experts to ensure end-to-end delivery of email communication to Wealth Management clients and advisors. The candidate will help implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies within Wealth Management at RBC, working with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and execution of the platform.
Working with marketing partners in different areas of Wealth Management, you will optimize email creative, suggest improvements and act on opportunities to enhance the overall email programme by ensuring the enablement and delivery of dynamic, automated and personalized messages to advisors and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on HTML coding skills and experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, coupled with a deep understanding and interest in the quirks and limitations of email environments.
The successful candidate will maintain a campaign calendar and work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop templates, filter audiences and deploy messages within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. The role requires an understanding of marketing automation best practices including CASL laws, Journey Builder and Cloud Pages.
Responsibilities (only provide 8 bullet points)
Own end to end email campaign process including deployment – coding html emails – traffic management of intake tasks to junior employees
Establish a comprehensive email campaign calendar that consolidates schedules across various lines of business, ensuring a holistic view of resource allocation and enabling efficient processing of intake requests for direct reports.
Segment audiences in data extensions using AMPscript
Build and execute Journey Builder activities and associated automations in coordination with other senior team members and developers
Maintain reporting metrics and dashboards
Troubleshoot ad-hoc deliverability issues
Provide direct reports with skill and career building support
Maintain project management platforms such as JIRA or Wrike to organize tasks, deadlines, and priorities, enabling streamlined collaboration among multiple stakeholders and direct reports in various time zones.
Skills
Must-have
2+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Journey Builder
Experience with email development using HTML, CSS and AMPscript
Understanding of CASL/CAN-SPAM/GDPR requirements
Experience with HTML development, APIs, SQL
Nice to have
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.q. Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant and/or Administrator)
Familiarity in web programming (e.g. HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript)
Familiarity with other Salesforce Clouds such as Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, etc.
