JOB PURPOSE

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor provides supervisory clinical and technical work in an area/zone.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be registered with the New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Minimum of three (3) years progressive related experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor is responsible to:

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee operational functions of the service
• Train and mentor new staff and students
• Provide clinical expertise to staff, healthcare professions, and stakeholders
• Perform radiation safety duties
• Ensure quality control of equipment and radioactive materials
• Ensure ordering, storage, and utilization of radioactive materials, medications, and general supplies
• Perform the functions of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and or other medical imaging functions
