Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Senior Technical Analyst, Cyber Technology Operations will provide operational support for a wide range of network security, endpoint security and threat surface products/tools within RBC's global Cyber Security environment. The Senior Technical Analyst will provide production support and perform implementation of changes; as well as ensure prompt resolution to any production problems by responding to incidents.
What will you do?
Day-to-day support of Endpoint Security and Threat Surface security applications (e.g. monitoring server health, monitoring event logs, performing software upgrades, executing changes in production).
Responding to operational security-related events and incident/problem escalations from internal/external clients and business partners
Take part in root cause analysis with service partners, vendor engineers and escalation teams for incidents and problems, along with implementing permanent solutions
Work closely with Integration and Engineering support teams to understand the security products and the operating environment.
Lead automation opportunities and incorporate AI capabilities to enhance day to day operational processes
Participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, integrations and unit test plans.
Ensure adequate technical documentation is in place.
Participate in joint development and plans and execute implementations.
Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
Identify and recommend opportunities for the automation of repetitive tasks

What do you need to succeed?
?Must Have:
Thorough understanding of network flows, protocols, and application-related security controls.
Strong experience working with one or more of the following network and security appliances/vendors: Endpoint Security:?Illumio, Crowdstrike, FireEye, Lookout, Snare, Beyond Trust, Encase
Threat Surface:?Tenable.Sc/IO
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues with unfamiliar technology.
Ability to thrive in an environment with new and evolving technology.
Strong communication skills include understanding how a message should be delivered, to?who and when.
Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively.
Nice-to-Have:
Bachelor degree in computer and/or IT related disciplines.
Certifications in information security (eg. CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL)
Operating Systems: Windows/Linux and AIX Knowledge
Scripting/Coding: (Python/Java )
