Halifax's busiest and most dynamic waterfront attraction: Ambassatours Gray Line, is seeking engaging and hardworking individuals to join our team on our fleet of tour vessels. These vessels include the Silva (200 passenger), the Harbour Queen I (200 passenger), and the Kawartha Spirit (200 passenger). Our team delights in sharing highlights of the city and harbour with our guests while delivering a taste of life on the water. Our operation runs from May through October. We have an irregular schedule including operating days, evenings, nights, and weekends 7 days a week.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties
· Manage, maintain, and serve our guests onboard.
· Work as a team with all onboard staff to provide the best possible guest experience.
· Stock vessels with required supplies and beverages
· Take debit/credit payments and handle transactions through Clover POS system.
· Understand and become knowledgeable of bar menu offerings for guests.
· Complete daily checklists, inventory counts, cash outs, and reports
· Maintains a high level of cleanliness, organization, and sanitization.
· Welcome, greet and engage with guests.
· Provide commentary to passengers when and if required (training and material provided)
· Participate in marine emergency drills and training.
· Assist with safe embarking and disembarking of guests.
· Monitor passenger and vessel safety.
· Handle lines while arriving and departing from wharf.
· Cleaning: Hose and scrub decks, vacuum, sweep, clean washrooms, empty garbage, maintain bar cleanliness daily
· Attending team meetings when required.
· Other duties as assigned.

Approved Apparel
Employees wear company branded shirts and jackets provided at a 50% company and employee cost share. Black or khaki pants, skort or shorts. Non-slip black shoes.
· Customer service experience.
· Bartending experience considered an asset.
· Experience working on the water: sailing and other pleasure craft considered an asset.
· Comfortable with public speaking
· First Aid considered an asset.
· MED (Marine Emergency Duties) considered an asset.
· Ability to communicate in French considered an asset
· Marine maintenance experience: painting, varnishing, etc.
· $17.50 per hour
· Gratuities
· Paid training including Smart Serve and other required training.
· Overtime available during peak season (July and August)
· Flexible schedule- days, evenings, and nights 7 days a week
· Advancement opportunities - Costs covered to become a marine officer (Mate or Captain)
