The Role
As a Business Systems Analyst, you play a critical role in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable effective technology delivery. You work independently on well-scoped initiatives while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Engineers, and Business Relationship Managers to ensure solutions align to business capabilities and deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Support and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect tracking, and sign-off.
- Maintain requirements traceability across design, build, and testing phases.
- Identify requirement gaps, risks, or dependencies and recommend practical solutions.
- Contribute to improving analysis standards, templates, and ways of working.

Experience & Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in business or systems analysis supporting technology-enabled initiatives.
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
- Experience working with development teams and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Working knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on smaller initiatives while contributing to larger, cross-functional programs.
- Diploma or degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to tools such as Visio, Excel, BI tools, or requirements management platforms is considered an asset.
