Administrative Assistant - Professional Conduct Department
Description
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (the College) serves and protects the public by regulating the practice of medicine in the province. With over 25 employees, the Professional Conduct department.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the operational administration of the Professional conduct department. Below is an outline of key responsibilities:
- Administrative tasks of a secretarial nature
- Case management on complaint files
- Communicating with patients and physicians
- Administrative support to the lawyers in the Professional Conduct department
- Identify, obtain, and prepare relevant information and documents, including hospital and office records, reports, statements, and transcripts
- Understand and be able to explain the complaints processes and its limitations
- Provide organizational support to the College as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Legal assistant diploma, Paralegal diploma, Administrative Assistant Diploma, other relevant post-secondary education, or relevant work experience.
- 2+ years relevant work experience; or equivalent of education and experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English. French language proficiency is an asset .
