Senior Information Management Analyst
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Information Management Analyst to work as a critical team member in our Information Technology and Security Department. You will be accountable for providing information management (IM) and information protection (IP) subject matter expertise and advisory services. The Senior Information Management Analyst performs advanced analytical work, coordination and supervision activities leading to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of an organization-wide IM/IP program for WorkplaceNL.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensures that a comprehensive, effective and efficient organization-wide IM/IP program is developed and implemented, in accordance with the provincial government's Management of Information Act.
- Collaborates with the Manager, Information Management, to develop IM/IP policy, procedures and standards; leads IM/IP initiatives across the organization; and provides strategic recommendations, advice and decision-making support for senior management in various aspects of the organization-wide IM/IP program.
- Works with project teams to define IM/IP requirements, acquire/build, implement and evaluate systems and technologies to meet the IM/IP needs of WorkplaceNL and protect sensitive and confidential information.
- Develops an organization-wide IM/IP awareness and training program. Designs program materials and conducts awareness and training sessions.
- Conducts IM/IP risk assessments and compliance and quality audits, to identify risk mitigation solutions.
- Creates various reports and documents, including briefing notes, discussion papers and management reports, as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- University degree, preferably at the Master's level, in information/records management or business administration, combined with five years information management/records management work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and analytical experience in the design, development and implementation of comprehensive IM/IP programs.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to utilize a team approach to the delivery of all aspects of an organization-wide IM/IP program.
- High degree of oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, planning and organizational skills are critical requirements of the position.
Experience and an educational equivalency will be considered.
