Who we are
The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is seeking an individual to join the recently renewed and restructured NBHC under its Infrastructure Division as a Project Analyst in Fredericton.
NBHC is a Crown Corporation established in 2023, responsible for developing and maintaining provincial housing facilities, programs, initiatives, strategies, and renting services for landlords and tenants. NBHC works with all levels of government, community groups, organizations, and the private sector to identify and maximize housing development opportunities while providing support through a housing strategy to positively impact New Brunswickers.
What you will do
As a member of the Engineering and Construction Branch, the successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and Construction and will play a critical role in supporting the effective planning, procurement, implementation, and reporting of NBHC's new construction and capital improvement projects.
The Project Analyst will:
Project Tracking and Data Analysis:
- Administer project management software, design standardized templates, configure dashboards, and develop automated reports.
- Provide guidance to users, ensure consistent data entry, and conduct quality assurance reviews.
- Chair monthly capital program status meetings to verify deliverables, schedules, and cash flow projections.
- Consolidate and analyze data to provide timely, reliable information for decision-makers.
Procurement and Contract Support
- Coordinate procurement processes, proofread and verify tender documents, and ensure compliance with NBHC standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, and financial analysts to align schedules, cash flow, and reporting requirements.
Budgeting and Reporting
- Review change orders and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Update tracking tools and cash flow projections.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPIs for internal and external reporting.
Document Control and Records Management
- Establish standardized protocols for organizing, storing, and archiving project files.
- Set up filing structures, communicate expectations, and ensure consistent practices across the branch.
- Perform quality control checks at project close-out to ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Special Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Support special projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Map and analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Design and implement new templates, workflows, and reporting tools.
- Contribute to system upgrades, policy reviews, and strategic initiatives.
Other duties as required
Essential Qualifications
A Bachelor degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, and a minimum of two (2) years of financial experience in a computerized work environment OR a diploma in a related discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of financial experience in a computerized work environment. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following assets:
- Experience with project management software.

Salary: $53,222 to $74,360
