The Educational Facilities and Pupil Transportation Branch provides school districts with support and expertise in the planning and management of educational facilities and pupil transportation. The objective is to create healthy and secure learning and working environments as well as to implement a safe and efficient pupil transportation service.
What you will do:
As a member of the Educational Facilities and Pupil Transportation Branch and reporting to the Infrastructure Program Manager, the successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of strategies for the effective management of the province's school infrastructure which includes 295 schools. You will also be responsible for providing leadership to issues related to the operations of school physical plants. As the Technical Services Manager you will be responsible for:
- Management of maintenance service contracts to support the day-to-day facility operations of school districts.
- Management of school infrastructure data, analysis and reporting to support decision making processes.
- Management of school infrastructure drawings program.
- Assist in compliance efforts with environmental and public safety laws and regulations.
- Manage current and new programs relating to building environmental standards.
- SNB Procurement liaison for educational facilities operational requirements.

Need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in applied science, Engineering, or a related field with five (5) years of experience in facility management OR,
- Two (2) years post secondary diploma in a related field with seven (7) years of experience in facility management.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications and language capabilities to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Programming skills, python, SQL or other relevant tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience with GIS software.
- Experience in building operation systems.

Salary:
Pay Band 5: $66,924 - $93,470 annually.
Work environment:
- Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton.
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30.
