Quin-Sea Fisheries Limited, a division of Royal Greenland, is leading fish processing company based in Newfoundland and Labrador that has provided quality North Atlantic Seafood to markets around the globe for over 35 years. Quin-Sea operates six seafood-processing facilities in the province with a wide array of local species.

Currently, we have an opening for Machine Technician at our processing facility in Old Perlican, NL.

As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing processing machinery. This role ensures the equipment runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot fish processing machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Repair or replace faulty components to minimize production downtime.
• Follow plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate cutting and weighing platforms.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and breakdown reports.
• Work closely with production supervisors and quality control staff.
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment when required.

Position Qualifications:

• Diploma, certificate, or technical training and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with industrial or food processing machinery (seafood experience preferred).
• Mechanically Inclined.
• Must be dependable and available for shift work and show up at assigned times.
