Aligning People and Purpose in Driving Atlantic Lottery's Future in a Rapidly Changing Gambling Industry
Atlantic Lottery is not just a place to play; it is a partner in building stronger communities. Proudly owned by the four Atlantic provinces, every ticket, every game, every win returns profits directly to Atlantic Canadians. Players are not just customers; they are neighbours, family, and friends.
For nearly 50 years, we have combined innovation in lottery and iGaming with an unwavering commitment to healthy play and community impact, with profits reinvested in programs such as schools, hospitals, roads, and sponsorships.
Reporting to the President & CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief People and Purpose Officer (CPPO) is an enterprise strategist and culture architect who ensures people and purpose are embedded in Atlantic Lottery's business strategy. The CPPO shapes organizational identity and workforce strategy, curating a compelling narrative that connects past achievements to future aspirations and inspires every employee to see their role in the journey.
The CPPO provides executive oversight for enterprise change management, ensuring strategies and practices enable organizational agility, adoption of key initiatives and alignment with Atlantic Lottery's culture and purpose. Grounded in research and real-world practice, they integrate listening, purpose, behavior, engagement, and sustained action to drive meaningful and lasting impact.
As a strategic partner to the President & CEO, the CPPO influences corporate priorities and governance while leading enterprise-wide initiatives that define the future of work. They bring depth and credibility across culture evolution, leadership development, organizational design, enterprise change management, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) stewardship. The CPPO embeds people-centered, data-informed, and purpose-driven approaches that enable growth, innovation, and resilience in a rapidly changing gambling industry. The CPPO ensures the organization is equipped with the right people, culture, practices, and capabilities to deliver both immediate priorities and long-term goals.
We are seeking a visionary executive with a proven record of shaping enterprise culture and workforce strategies at scale, ideally within complex, regulated environments. The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience spanning people strategy and enterprise change leadership; a demonstrated ability to design and measure strategies that enhance culture and performance; and strong commercial acumen to link people outcomes to organizational results. Experience engaging at the Board level and influencing corporate governance, coupled with credibility in ESG or social purpose, is highly valued. Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder partnership skills-grounded in data-informed decision-making and purposeful leadership-are essential.
You will be part of an organization that reinvests in the communities it serves. You will lead with purpose at the enterprise level, shaping the future of work while ensuring healthy play and community impact remain at the core of everything we do. This is more than a leadership role -it's an opportunity to make a game-changing difference for Atlantic Canadians.
