The New Brunswick Pipe Trades Administrative Office is a central hub for the management of the Pension Trust Agreement and the Employee Life Health Agreement, under the direction of a Board of Trustees of the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada Local 213 and 325.


THE OPPORTUNITY:
The New Brunswick Pipe Trades Administration Office is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Claims Coordinator to support the effective administration of the health benefits program for their membership. This role is responsible for the accurate and compliant processing of claims data.
As the initial point of contact for the health benefit related inquiries, the Claims Coordinator provides timely support to the general membership. With a strong focus on data integrity, compliance and membership service, this role plays a critical part of the high-quality support the New Brunswick Pipe Trades Administration Office provides to its membership.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administrative duties such as answering phones, replying to email inquiries, opening and sorting and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, booking travel and hotels, making deposit to bank.
• Manage office website by way of keeping the information provided to membership up to date.
• Maintaining client records on internal software management system.
• Work within our membership system and a provider service platform for the processing of long-term disability claims, short term disability claims and life insurance claims.
• Work within a service provider platform for the processing of dental and healthcare claims.
• Updating and maintaining the Health Benefit Booklet.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for health benefits inquiries, liaising with active members, retirees, service providers and internal staff.
• Other related office duties as required.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma supplemented by completion of post-secondary education in business administration or a related field and two (2) years related work experience.


Written and spoken competence in English is required. Written and spoken competence in French would be considered an asset. Please state your language capability.

COMPENSATION: $50,000 to $55,000 per annum based on qualifications and experience. Health Benefits and Pension Benefits also provided.
