Job Summary
The Emergency Services & Ambulatory Clinics Program is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Division Manager for the Emergency Department, ICU unit, EKG and Outpatient Clinics located in the Clarenville GB Cross Memorial Hospital. Reporting to the Regional Director, Emergency Services & Ambulatory Clinics, the Division Manager will be accountable for the efficient and effective planning, implementing, organizing, and evaluating patient care activities of the assigned services provided at the Clarenville GB Cross Memorial Hospital. The Division Manager will be responsible for the quality of services provided, as well as the effective and efficient utilization of resources. The Manager will participate in the clinical on-call coverage.

The Division Manager will work within the NL HS Leadership Framework with accountabilities to engage others and lead self, achieve results, develop coalitions and implement systems transformations within the assigned areas of responsibility. These include working within the Division's lines of business, fiscal and resource stewardship, managing and developing staff, effective communication, quality and risk management and health workplace management.

Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor Degree in a health related discipline is required.
- Master's Degree preferred.

Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience within the last seven (7) years in adult acute care.
- Previous leadership experience is required.
- LEAN/Change Management experience is an asset
- Experience with Quality Improvement Initiatives is an asset

- Knowledge of the CRNNL Standards of Practice
- Knowledge of Emergency and Critical Care Nursing across the continuum.
- Knowledge of adult acute medical/surgical care and cancer care.
- Knowledge of program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Knowledge of quality improvement and project management.
- Knowledge of staff and patient safety initiatives.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking, decision making, interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and foster positive interpersonal relationships with various stakeholders.
