Job Type: full time, 37.5 hours weekly

Job Summary
The Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception (SCIC) are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant as an integral part of the finance team, reporting to the Accountant or designate.

In this role, you will be responsible to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records including accounts payable, banking, account reconciliation, budgeting, and payroll administration for approximately 50 employees. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Qualifications:
Education: a graduate of a recognized Community College or University accredited accounting program or comparable work experience.

Experience: Three (3) + years of experience in an office accounting role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software; Microsoft Office skills (familiarity with the 'RISE' payroll system would be considered an asset).

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to self-manage time and requirements as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Competitive salary: $65,000- $75,000
