Who you are
You have a worked in Accounts Payable / Accounting for a minimum of 5 years. You have experience in financial procure to pay systems, detailed data analysis, client relations and developing and maintaining accounting procedures, practices, and principles to ensure timely and accurate payments. You have intermediate+ knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience in systems transformation and process improvement.
The successful candidate will possess the following behavioral competencies: analytical thinking/judgement, change leadership, process improvement, system transformation, client service orientation, information seeking, results orientation, team leadership.
Successfully completed a university degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field and CPA designation would be an asset for future career development.
3 Years of experience required related to this field.
Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
What you will do
Reporting to the Regional Director of Financial Operations, the Client Services Manager is responsible to plan, organize, direct, monitor and continuously improve the client services function of the accounts payable team for Horizon Health Network. The Client Services Manager provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to an accounting staff to ensure ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors. This role contributes to financial integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement within the health authority's financial operations.
Key responsibilities of this position are:
- Directs and supports Accounts Payable Client Service.
- Lead and manage process automation and workflow redesign.
- Recruits, hires and trains new team member.
- Directs client support and subject matter expertise in payments and payables process to internal and external stakeholders, vendors and external auditors.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate supplier data and vendor records, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc financial duties including HST remittances, cheque processing, and cross-functional operational support.
- Monitor program compliance for various programs; purchase card, employee reimbursement
- Establish and monitor quality measures and KPl's
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports.
- Recruits, hires and trains new team member.
- Assigns and schedules tasks and communicates job expectations to staff, including evaluating job performance and recommending compensation adjustments.
- Delegates, supervises, and participates in client service tasks.
- Develops, implements oversight of financial and department controls and procedures.
- Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with finance-related laws and regulations.
- Participates in special projects related to the process improvement financial operation.
This position may require some travelling within the province, therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick drivers license.
