NEOCON International is a custom plastic design and manufacturing organization that serves the automotive (OEM) market with unique interior product applications. We have an immediate opening for a dynamic person to represent the administrative discipline of the company within the purchasing department. This position will be permanent full time.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Customer/Purchasing Manager your job description will include the following:

  • Manage purchasing of inventoried components, including but not limited to:
    • Purchasing of Raw Materials for Production
    • Processing Incoming Receipts for Inventoried Purchase Orders
    • Processing Invoices from the Accounting Department
  • Provide engineering support for component sourcing and quoting (technical knowledge an asset).
  • Managing and communicating with all external suppliers relating to inventoried component purchasing.
  • Support general purchasing activities as required.
  • Complete Quality related tasks including:
    • Monthly audit checks
    • Quarterly scorecard meetings
    • Cross-checking specification sheets for accuracy
  • Coordinate incoming freight arrangements for all inventoried purchased items.
  • Ensure parts and materials are purchased at the most competitive price and delivered on time to match production/office requirements.
  • Proactively manages component costs, identifying opportunities for volume discounts and cost savings.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and supply agreements in collaboration with key Neocon personnel.
  • Seek supplier sponsorship for annual staff events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive company and customer information.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

  • Business Administration diploma preferred or 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (ex: Word, Excel, Outlook/Outlook Calendar, Project)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills include the ability to communicate effectively with management and production personnel along with individuals outside the organization.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize tasks given to you.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
