The Role: We Hire for Attitude and Train for Skill
- We are seeking a Lawyer to join our litigation team. This is a 100% Plaintiff-side role. We never represent employers. Your focus will be exclusively on Employment Law (Wrongful Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, and Human Rights).
- Walk into a Full Practice (No "Rainmaking" Required). You do not need to bring a book of business. You will assume a full, active caseload on Day 1. Our firm has a robust marketing engine that generates a steady stream of new clients every week. Your job is to advocate for these clients and move their files to resolution-not to chase down new business.
- Don't have employment law experience? That's okay. We can teach you the law. What we can't teach is the fire in your belly to fight for the underdog. If you are a litigator (or an aspiring one) who wants to help real people rebuild their lives after a job loss, we will provide the mentorship and systems you need to become an expert in this field.
Compensation: Stability + Unlimited Upside
We believe in rewarding efficiency and outcomes:
- Base Salary ($65k - $85k): We provide a base salary commensurate with your experience to ensure financial security.
- The "Low Threshold" Advantage: Because your bonus kicks in after you cover a multiple of your base salary, a lower base means you start earning your performance bonuses sooner.
- Uncapped Revenue Share: You earn a percentage of every dollar you generate above your target.
- The Math is Simple: The more efficiently you resolve files, and the better results you get for your clients, the more you make. Successful associates in our firm significantly exceed their base salary.
Who We Are Looking For
- Values First: You must be passionate about plaintiff-side representation. We want someone who gets satisfaction from standing up to large corporations and institutions on behalf of regular workers.
- Bar Admission: You must be a member in good standing (or eligible for immediate call) of the Law Society of Ontario, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick.
- Litigation Interest: You don't need to be a seasoned trial lawyer, but you must have a genuine interest in litigation, negotiation, and advocacy.
- The "Closer" Mindset: Since we do not bill by the hour, we need lawyers who are driven to move existing files forward and reach resolutions efficiently.
- Tech-Savvy: As a remote firm, you must be comfortable using cloud-based practice management software and video conferencing daily.
Ideally, you are: A lawyer who feels out of place in a traditional firm. Maybe you are tired of the Bay Street grind, insurance defense, or management-side politics. If you have the drive to fight for the "little guy," we have the platform for you to succeed.
