As a Tank Testing Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Tanknology team to support petroleum retail customers. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, extensive travel, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards. Full training is provided.
Your main responsibilities
- Apply and promote Englobe health and safety rules and procedures
- Set up testing equipment and carry out required test procedures
- Perform service work and conduct various tests on underground storage tanks and piping systems
- Perform minor repairs on petroleum equipment at service stations
- Conduct regulatory and compliance inspections at customer sites
- Communicate with customers regarding testing activities and scheduling
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of company vehicles and equipment
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, reports, and documentation in accordance with internal, provincial, and federal requirements
- Use various computer programs and software to record test results and prepare diagrams
- Perform other related tasks as requested by the supervisor
- Travel extensively within the province of Ontario, with some travel across Canada when required, with occasional weekends away from home
What makes you unique
- Secondary School Diploma (minimum requirement)
- College diploma or professional studies in a related field (considered an asset)
- Bilingualism in French and English (asset)
- Valid full driver's license with a good driving record
- Willingness and availability to travel across Canada
- Strong autonomy, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Related retail petroleum services experience (asset)
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Petroleum Mechanic License (TSSA) (asset)
- Demonstrated awareness of and commitment to occupational health and safety
