Job Description

What is the Opportunity

Performs monthly reconciliations, in-depth investigations and supports resolution of issues impacting results. Applies complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

What will you do?

  • Reconciliation day to day activities including a mix of investigations, problem solving, follow-ups, deadlines, support and reporting that requires the use of various different systems and human interactions
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness to the quality of service we provide
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leaders who support your development through learning and coaching opportunities
  • Provides expertise on complex financial issues
  • Proactively identify issues and challenges to remove obstacles to success
  • Prioritize activities and reports and adjust as needed so that important team objectives and client deadlines are met
  • Provide guidance to resolve issues and update all documented procedures
  • Use new and existing tools to automate and recommend solutions for data ingestion, analytics and visualization to create efficiencies in the reconciliation preparation process to reduce lead time
  • Demonstrate flexibility to assume project work outside of the general reconciliation process
  • Create monthly and ad hoc statistic reporting
  • Posting journal entries where necessary

What do you need to Succeed?

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to solve problems, curious mindset, take ownership and be accountable
  • Committed to get the job done, collaborative work ethic and win as a team style in a fast-paced environment
  • An innovative thinker who is proactive, is well organized with attention to detail and cares about supporting everyone
  • Passionate about continuous growth and learning. Every challenge is an opportunity for improvement
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, etc.)
  • Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliation processing and Attestation Policy
  • Familiar with RBC applications and products
