The Office of the Vice Provost Academic Administration oversees UNB's academic hiring, program planning and support, quality assurance, labour relations, and other related projects to ensure successful academic operations.

Salary Range: $50,245 - $68,479 per annum/hour
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Vice Provost Academic Administration, the CAE Contracts and Files Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the university's academic operations by managing the lifecycle of Contract Academic Employee (CAE) contracts and maintaining all official files for academic employees. This position ensures that all part-time academic appointments, renewals, and related agreements are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with institutional policies and collective agreements.
- Review and process CAE contracts, correcting errors when appropriate.
- Ensure all contracts comply and adhere to university policies, applicable collective agreements, and employment legislation.
- Maintain accurate records and updates on databases of CAE contracts, the official files of both the AUNBT (CAE) and AUNBT (FT)collective agreements and Student Opinion Surveys on CAE and full-time faculty files.
- Maintain all official files for academic employees
- Liaise with academic departments and units on CAI assessment results. Advise on contract-related matters and collective agreement implications.
- Serve as the point of contact for CAE and official file-related inquiries, inform stakeholders of CAE postings that fall outside regular timelines and communicate contract terms and timelines.
- Collaborate with academic departments, People & Culture, Faculty Labour Relations, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate processing of contracts.
- Prepare reports and summaries for the Vice Provost Academic Administration office.
- Support audits and reviews related to CAE academic appointments, contracts, and other files.
- Establish the exact nature of employment of a CAE and identify their courses with precision.
- Identify opportunities to streamline CAI contract workflows and management and improving administrative efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of experience in office administration or a relevant role.
- Understanding of contract preparation, employment laws, and collective agreements.
- Previous experience in the post-secondary sector would be an asset.
