Full-time, 35 Hours/Week
Hybrid (minimum two-days per week onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the IT team across operations and major initiatives. The ITBA will play a key role in translating key business goals/ objectives into functional and technical requirements for the onboarding of new, and maintenance of existing, technology assets. This person will play a key role in collaborating with the PMO (project management office), as well as other internal teams and vendors, to ensure all technical requirements are met within any initiative where IT is involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to translate and document business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Ensuring all functional and technical requirements documented are appropriately actioned.
  • Create and maintain key technology artifacts such as process maps, diagrams, flow charts.
  • Make IT recommendations anchored on data-informed decision making.
  • Participate in all system testing activities, from generating a test planning guide to conducting user-acceptance testing (UAT) requirements.
  • Support in training staff members on how to use new/ enhanced IT solutions.
  • Be an active contributor to IT governance best practices.

About You:

You are considered an IT problem solver, being able to clearly explain the business applicability of complex technical solutions. You have practical experience across various IT systems, databases, coding languages, and data visualization software. You are skilled at mapping "As-Is" and "To-Be" processes and translating business needs into clear documentation, including Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, and Functional Specifications. You are proficient in activity tracking and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365 applications/tools.

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce) or demonstrated equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum 2 years practical experience in positions conducting the above job requirements.
