General Labourer - Asbestos Removal

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: St.John's and surrounding areas

Rate of Pay: $18 hourly

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our restoration team. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role involves a variety of onsite and warehouse tasks including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood response, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleanup, content handling, and other specialized restoration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform demolition, light repairs, general and specialized cleaning

-Follow measurements, plans, and instructions to complete work accurately

-Communicate site conditions and concerns proactively

-Assist with water/flood response and content handling

-Support vehicle inspections, equipment maintenance, debris removal, and site setup

-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

-Excellent customer service

-Work within tight timelines while safeguarding client property

-Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training

-Occasionally act as site lead when designated

Qualifications:

-Experience in construction, restoration, or insurance preferred

-Forklift certification is an asset

-Strong customer service orientation

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team

-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

-Basic computer skills and effective written and verbal communication skills

-Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle policy requirements

-Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed

-Ability to travel periodically

-Criminal Record Check Required

Physical Requirements:

-Frequent lifting of 5-40 lbs; occasional assisted lifting over 40 lbs

-Ability to work in tight spaces and at heights over 5 feet

-Fit testing for half/full face masks (annual certification)

-Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
