Digital Communications Coordinator
(Temporary Replacement)
The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator (C-NLOER) invites applications for the temporary position of Digital Communications Coordinator for a term of approximately six months.
Reporting to the Director, Government Relations and Communications, the Digital Communications Coordinator:
- Develops and edits website content
- Coordinates translation of content for the C-NLOER French website
- Assists with the development and maintenance of content for C-NLOER social media accounts
- Monitors the C-NLOER's online presence and reputation
- Assists with strategic communications, including the design and execution of communications plans, consultation plans and stakeholder engagement
- Assists with the development of internal communications, including the organization of staff town halls
- Supports the development of communications-related procedures for the C-NLOER's Business Management System
- Assists with communications elements of the C-NLOER's emergency response plan
- Carries out other related duties assigned as required
What we are looking for:
- Degree or diploma in public relations, communications or a related discipline
- Skills and know-how in social media/digital communications, including analytic tools
- Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise and compelling messaging
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in graphic design tools, such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop would be an asset
- Proficiency in WordPress would be an asset
- Proficiency in French would be an asset

Who we are:
The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator (C-NLOER) is the independent agency originally created as the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) in 1986 by the federal and provincial governments under the Atlantic Accord Implementation Acts. Legislative amendments that came into effect in 2025 expanded our mandate to include offshore renewable energy and changed our name. The C-NLOER regulates oil and gas exploration and development and will regulate future renewable energy projects in the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area. Our mandate includes oversight of worker health and safety, environmental protection, resource management and industrial benefits.
