The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director, Clinical Services (DOC) and/ or designate and is the role model and team leader that coordinates and supervises the activities and duties of those who deliver direct resident care. The RN performs duties and monitors departmental activities in accordance with established standards, regulations, policies, and procedures to maximize holistic quality care while maintaining resident respect and dignity.
Within a resident-centered care model, and the vision, mission and values of Rosedale Home for Special Care, the RN will provide clinical leadership to members of the Clinical Services team in support of residents and their families. Working independently and collaboratively within the interdisciplinary care team, the RN will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document resident care and treatment. The RN will practice in accordance with the standards, scope and code of ethics as outlined by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
