Overtime Method: | Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Schedule Example:

• Week 1 - 1800-0600 - 4 Days (Mon-Tues) ** Fri-Sat Shift- 2000-0800)
• Week 2 - 1800-0600 - 3 Days (Sun, Wed-Thurs)

Job Responsibilities:

• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions
• Maintain communication with fellow security guards, dispatch, clients, and management
• Work independently
• Ensure all site staff adhere to Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Ensure proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, clients, and Paladin management team
• Complete mobile patrols diligently
• Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
• Communicates any concerns/issues with reporting supervisor/Client Service Manager
• Report any deficiencies with the vehicle
• Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action
• Be courteous and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Respond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures.
• Maintain the highest standard of security; be professional in attitude, appearance and application.
• Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures
• • Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws
• Additional duties as required

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination.
• G level driver's licensing, with a clean driver's abstract
• Minimum 1 year of security experience required
• Experience in Mobile Security is considered an asset
• English fluency (written and oral) required
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
• Attend 4 days of blended (virtual/in-class) pre-deployment training at the Ottawa Branch office
• Minimum 2+ years of security experience required
• • Experience in Mobile security will be preferred
