Position: Summer Student - Data Engineer
Location: Moncton, NB in office
Work Term: Typically 16 weeks, starting in May 2026

What You'll Do:
- Support the maintenance and performance of Atlantic Lottery's corporate data warehouse.
- Assist in designing and optimizing data pipelines for efficiency and reliability.
- Learn and apply ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Conduct data quality checks and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to troubleshoot and enhance data workflows.
- Document processes and contribute ideas for improving data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases, and Oracle Data Integrator.
- Understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Requirements:
- Currently studying post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Science, or other related program.
- Must be 19 years of age or older by start date.
- Must reside in Atlantic Canada.
Assets:
- Experience with programming language python, Experience in version control systems, Data Quality Experience.
