Accounting & Customer Support Specialist

Apple Valley Foods Inc is a food manufacturer with our head office located in Kentville, Nova Scotia with multiple manufacturing facilities and sales throughout North America. This full-time position provides coverage across multiple functions, ensuring smooth operations when team members are away from the office. If you are quick at picking up tasks and enjoy variety in your work, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide temporary coverage for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service and Financial Analysts across multiple companies.
• Assist with invoice processing, vendor payments and reconciliations
• Support financial accuracy through precise inventory reconciliations
• Accurately enter and process customer orders through to invoicing
• Communicate with customers and brokers via phone or email
• Coordinate with storage facilities on inventory matters
• Generate and manage reports using the accounting system and Excel

What We're Looking For:

• Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Administration.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different roles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications within a Windows environment with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

The successful candidate will have a Monday-Friday schedule and receive a competitive compensation package including health benefits.
