Job Listing: Administrative Assistant / Health & Safety Coordinator to the Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday
Compensation: Hourly rate (to be discussed)
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to support our operations Manager in a dual role: Administrative Assistant and Health & Safety Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong QuickBooks skills, and hands-on understanding of Health & Safety requirements, especially in relation to maintaining our COR Certification.
This position is key to ensuring smooth office operations while helping uphold our safety standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Provide daily administrative support to the Operations Manager
- Data Entry into QuickBooks
- General office duties as required
Health & Safety Coordinator Duties:
- Assist in the maintenance and ongoing compliance of our COR Certification
- Update, track, and organize all Health & Safety documentation
- Maintain and work with the operations manager regarding Health and Safety
- Monitor and record employee training, certifications, - (subcontractors as well)
- Assist with audits, internal reviews, and preparation for COR external audits
- Help ensure all construction sites remain compliant with safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous administrative experience
- Experience in the construction industry (preferred)
- QuickBooks proficiency
- Experience or strong knowledge in Health & Safety coordination
- Familiarity with COR Certification requirements is a strong asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
