Salary Range: $52,000 - $78,000 (Typical range: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience, skills, and internal equity)

As a Senior Disbursements Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for Accounts Payable, Expense Management, and Accrual Processing. You'll ensure financial integrity, manage corporate credit card programs, and provide exceptional internal support. Plus, you'll broaden your skills by acting as a backup for payroll processing.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Drive Financial Accuracy: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis to ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations.
  • Lead Accounts Payable: Resolve complex invoicing issues and ensure smooth supplier payment processes.
  • Manage Expenses: Oversee iExpense administration and corporate credit card programs, ensuring compliance and user support.
  • Own Accrual Processing: Maintain accurate accruals and collaborate with Supply Chain Management for monthly reviews.
  • Support Payroll: Serve as a reliable backup for payroll processing.
  • Analyze & Report: Prepare internal and external reports using established tools.
  • Enhance Processes: Keep documentation up-to-date and support policy implementation.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
  • 4+ years in Finance/Accounting with expertise in expense management and accrual processing
  • Knowledge of payroll systems
  • Must be 19 years of age or older & reside in Atlantic Canada

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Assets:

  • Experience with Oracle eBS
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis)
