We are currently recruiting for a Training Coordinator for our St. John's, NL base to coordinate training for our PAL Aerospace division, which consists of a variety of Operations including Charters, Medevac, Managed Aircraft and Offshore Surveillance. The successful candidate would be responsible for arranging training for each of these bases, from Europe to Curacao, in addition to our Canadian locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This job entails planning, scheduling and logistical support for all Aerospace pilot training events. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordinate and arrange all Pilot Simulator and Ground Training Events
      • Direct liaison with Flight Safety Canada & International
      • Coordinate Ground School training events
      • Coordinate Simulator training events
      • Ensure Line Indoctrination/Line Check's are arranged for new and existing pilots
      • Coordinate CRM Training for flight crew
      • Arrange travel, hotel and rental
      • Track costing for sim, travel, hotel and rentals
    • Prepare Purchase orders for billing
    • Arrange and maintain classroom locations for ground-based training events
    • Coordinate new hires and deliver onboarding presentation
    • Create ETR's (Electronic Training Records) in Pelesys for crew training events
    • Process flight test reports and type rating payments, as required
    • Provide monthly report to TC on Flight Tests and ACP monitors, as required
    • Chair weekly pilot training meetings with each division and oversee pilot training compliance
    • Create and update crew schedules and pairings in OC for all Ground based training events
    • Maintain training schedule within Google calendar and ensure up to date
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; all Microsoft office products
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Word/Excel/Office 365.
  • 40-60 wpm.
  • Office Admin certification or experience in an office environment would be considered.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in aviation an asset.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team is a must.
