Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a Director, Community Infrastructure and Leasing to join our team!
Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a Director, Community Infrastructure and Leasing (CIL). The Director, Community Infrastructure and Leasing is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing Horizon Health Network's leasing portfolio while also supporting the implementation of community-based health initiatives aligned with Horizon's Transformative Community Care strategy. This dual-function role ensures that leased spaces are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with operational needs, while also fostering cross-sector partnerships and supporting the delivery of safe, culturally sensitive, and equitable care in community settings. The role will report to the Regional Director, Facilities Engineering and Property Management (FEPM).

Who you are
You have a worked in leasing, property management, contract management, real estate transaction or similar roles for a minimum of 5 years and have a bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, facilities management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
You have experience in:
- Financial analysis and cost estimation for leases and fit-ups
- Applying leasing policies, space acquisition procedures, and real estate regulations in New Brunswick.
- Interpreting and applying building codes, safety standards, and lease compliance requirements.
What you will do
1. Leasing Strategy and Operations
- Lead all internal and external leasing activities across Horizon, including acquisition, negotiation, and management of leased spaces.
- Ensure compliance with provincial policies and internal standards.
- Oversee fit-up projects and ensure readiness of leased spaces for occupancy.
- Liaise with landlords, DTI, and internal departments to ensure seamless leasing operations.
- Ensure compliance with national building code, CSA standards and DTI leasing standards.
2. Community Health Integration
- Collaborate with the Community Health Team to support the implementation of community-based care models.
- Align leasing strategies with the development of Family Health Teams and other community health initiatives.
- Identify and secure community-based spaces that support preventative care, early intervention, and multidisciplinary service delivery.
- Support the modernization of primary care delivery through space planning and infrastructure readiness.
- Ensure leased environments reflect the social determinants of health and are accessible, inclusive, and culturally appropriate.
3. Financial Oversight and Risk Management
Working with the Senior Director, Contract Management:
- Conduct financial analysis and cost estimation for leases and fit-ups.
- Monitor lease renewals, expirations, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure risk mitigation through standard lease clauses and adherence to safety regulations.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Act as a liaison between Horizon departments, landlords, and community partners.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on leasing and community care initiatives.
- Support internal teams with space planning and optimization.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, amendments, and community care space planning.
- Develop reports and presentations to support strategic planning and business cases.
6. Team Leadership
- Supervise the Community and Leasing Space Planner and other relevant staff.
- Foster a collaborative and mission-driven team culture that supports both operational excellence and community impact.
