Dock Worker

Job Title: Dock Worker / Forklift Operator

Location: Moncton, NB

Hours: Must be available 7 days a week to work 5 days a week (Start time ranges from 5am)

Pay: $20.00/hour

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking full-time dock workers with experience in forklift operation for a transportation company in the Moncton area. This position could lead to a permanent full-time position for the right candidates!

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Unload trailers manually and with pallet jacks, ensuring the safe, efficient handling of incoming freight.
• Construct and secure skids/pallets, stacking goods appropriately for storage or shipment.
• Sort freight by type and destination, maintaining accurate organization for smooth warehouse flow.
• Maintain the dock space, including but not limited to sweeping out trailers.
• Wrap pallets to stabilize loads and prepare them for transportation or storage.
• Record cargo details such as weight, SKU, destination, and damage status; input data into spreadsheets or inventory systems and verify shipping documents.
• Maintain clean, organized dock areas; follow safety procedures and wear required PPE to minimize hazards and prevent accidents.

Requirements:

• Clean criminal record.
• Able to lift heavy loads (minimum 50 lbs).
• Able to work in and around forklifts.
• Able to operate pallet jacks.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed safety boots are required.
• Previous experience would be an asset.
• Team worker.
• Dependable and reliable.
